Rachel and Gee both won the final round of the Alpine Bikes winter series in impressive fashion last weekend on the infamous Innerliethan course. Against the UK and Worlds best Gee took the win by over 7 seconds on the snowy Scottish hillside, beating riders such as Steve Peat, Mark Beaumont, Julien Camellini and Dan Stanbridge. Despite his far from perfect run Gee's time of 2.31.34 was a clear 7 seconds ahead of his nearest rival Dan Stanbridge. Rachel meanwhile managed a 15 second winning margin over fellow World Cup star Helen Gaskell proving shes going to be the one to beat when the World series kicks off in May. The team heads off to the first round of the Maxxis Cup this weekend, the small Portugese town of Gouviea will host the first international race of the year.
